The purpose of the Women's Network is to bring meaningful input to the corporation by channeling the unique attributes and perspectives of all Sears Holdings Corporation women. As the target customer, our voices and insights have the ability to add commercial value to selecting and marketing of product. Furthermore, we can enhance recruiting, retaining, mentoring and developing associates through network leadership opportunities.

Priorities

1. Educate senior management about the role women play/could play at Sears Holdings
2. Create an environment/activities/processes/ tools that help women in their career development
3. Leverage the women of Sears Holdings to further develop customer insight and enhance our position in the marketplace

Recommend and execute initiatives that will support the Network’s Strategic Objective to be a relevant, credible sought-after voice on women’s concerns, insights and consumer perspectives for the corporation. Recommend and execute initiatives that will support Sears Holdings Diversity Networks' Strategic Objective to enhance our organization by providing support and resources to associates who can benefit from our knowledge and experiences.

Mentoring/Networking Committee Description

Recommend and execute initiatives that will support the Network’s Strategic Objective to create a relevant, credible forum for building relationships that enhance personal and professional growth and an environment in which women can reach out and support one another.

Events Committee Description

Recommend and execute events that will support the Network’s Strategic Objective to foster a sense of sisterhood across the network through activities associated with career development and social growth.
